Learn how to protect yourself and live a full and active life, free from the fear of falling. This 4-hour workshop presented by YMCA Healthy Living is an evidence-based fall risk screening and education class for adults aged 65 and older. Topics covered include fall prevention, proper footwear, safety at home, good nutrition for bone health and the importance of exercise. Participants will also learn at-home exercises to improve strength and balance and receive information about other local fall prevention programs.
