Program Description
Join us for a live historical portrayal by Nan Colton of this world-renowned American writer and abolitionist. During this live characterization event, the audience will meet one of the most influential women of her era who lived in Florida after the Civil War. Most famous for her novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Harriet Beecher Stowe also authored a collection of stories about Florida, inspired by her own experiences in Mandarin. The presentation takes place as if it were 1880, within the the Lyceum lecture circuit, and is portrayed in full period clothing.
