Program Description

“Clearwater Fire and Rescue and Clearwater East Library are proud to offer a free Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification class in Spanish to the citizens of Clearwater. The class is provided by a certified American Heart Association (AHA) instructor. The primary objective of the class is to prepare citizens to manage the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest through early activation of the 9-1-1 system and high-quality CPR. This class trains citizens to perform CPR, operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), clear an obstructed airway, and to be a critical link in the chain-of-survival.”
