Program Description

Program Description

Join us for a ZOOM program where we will be doing a dramatic reading of the Greek play, Athena and Arachne: How Spiders came to be. During Greek plays, masks were worn because actors played several parts and these masks distinguished which character they were playing. Different character masks will be held up during the dramatic reading.  After the reading is finished, there will be a brief tutorial showing you how you can create your own Greek mask. Let's get into character and have some fun!!

Some important information: Once registered you will receive emails : one will be a  ZOOM invitation stating when and how to get on to the Zoom meeting. (You do not need a Zoom account to join this event.) Another e-mail will be sent to you with the copy of the script and a request to list your 3 choices for the part you would like to read. Please respond to this e-mail with your choices. Please keep in mind that you are not guaranteed your first, second or third choice. However everyone will at least be a part of the chorus.  You also have the option to join the program as an audience member with no reading part. Also for privacy purposes, please do not select video when joining Zoom. Ms. Michelle will be on video and audio however.
