Volunteer meeting for Clearwater Chapter of SpreadTheVote ProjectID.

ProjectID is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping individuals getting state identification. Over 21 million Americans lack the ID they need to live full lives. At Project ID, we help members of our communities obtain the IDs they need for jobs, housing, health care, and, most importantly, identity. Our volunteers work one on one with clients who either don't have a valid state id or have one that is either expired or outdated.

• Partner with local organizations to identify community members who need IDs
• Obtain birth certificates, proof of residency, and other necessary documents
• Provide transportation to license and record-issuing offices
• Pay any necessary fees

Most of us take IDs for granted, but without one life becomes a series of challenges. Without ID it is almost impossible to obtain legal employment, to find housing, or even needed medical care. At Project ID, we work every day to help the most vulnerable members of our communities obtain the little card that changes lives.
