Tampa Bay Area SOJO Music Circle

Our purpose is to have fun sharing acoustic songs, musical experience and learning in a safe environment that welcomes ALL free of charge. SOJO is the acronym for “Sing Out/Jam Out”. We generally follow the models of other long-established music circles where in turn each attendee at the circle gets to select a song for all to play and sing. Many of the songs are selected from Rise Up Singing or its sequel, Rise Again, which together comprise words and chords for about 2,400 songs of various genres popular in American culture, old and new. At the SOJO music circle we enjoy old favorites and learn new tunes while participating. Guitars & ukuleles are the most common instruments, but a wide array of acoustic instruments are welcome, as are singers who bring only their voices to join in song.
