Program Description

The Tin Pan Alley period between the 1920s and the 1950s produced some of the greatest music by American composers and lyricists of the 20th century. Composers such as Jerome, Kern, Victor Hebert, Erroll Garner, Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Noel Coward in conjunction with brilliant lyricists gave us songs that are still with us today. But the more recent decades of the 20th century contributed even more songs of great beauty and timelessness in genres of Broadway theatre, film, jazz, folk rock and pop and beloved by music enthusiasts throughout all of our present generations.

Join cellist Theresa Villani and accompanying pianist, Kevin Johnson, for an afternoon of live classical music that celebrates the rich history of American musical compositions. A musical treat in celebration of America's 250th Anniversary!
