Program Description

Program Description

Join us in the Creation Studio and discover the beautiful Japanese craft of Kinusaiga, a no‑sew fabric art technique where small pieces of fabric are tucked into carved grooves on a foam board to create textured, mosaic‑like designs. Originating in Japan in the 1980s and inspired by traditional textile arts, Kinusaiga transforms simple fabric scraps into stunning, layered artwork through a calm, meditative process.

In this beginner‑friendly class, you’ll learn the basics—designing a pattern, cutting grooves, selecting fabrics, and tucking each piece into place to create your own framed work of art. No sewing skills required! Just bring your creativity and enjoy a relaxing, hands‑on craft that gives new life to leftover fabric.
