Program Description
Join us in the Heritage Studio for an educational and interactive presentation about the history of American Musical Theatre. Each month we will learn about a different era in musical theatre history, and explore the composers, choreographers, and musicals that helped shape musical theatre into the art form it is today.
This month we’ll be learning about the origins of musical theatre in the United States. We’ll dissect the anatomy of a musical and discuss the impact of early musical productions and composers like the Ziegfeld Follies, The Black Crook, and Show Boat.
